Song of the Week- Julian Casablancas "11th Dimension"

The Strokes frontman, steps out into the world of solo artists. Leading single of the album Phrazes For The Young. This is a total unexpected turn of expectancy, not the average Indie-Rock, Strokes song. I find this song brilliantly pieced together with an 80's touch of rock-dance sounds. This leads me to give a 4 out of 5 Stars. Go support music!

Q & A with JULIAN CASABLANCAS (The Strokes)

Julian Casablancas, most well known for being the lead singer of The Strokes, embarks on something more this time. A solo project, now wait before you weep and think The Strokes are history, think again. Casablancas gives an update on the bands plans as well as whats going on with his solo project. He's thinking out of the box and it is going to be exciting to see the final project. Recently working with DangerMouse and Pharrell on separate projects who knows what is in store for us. Check it out, stay tuned to his album dropping this fall titled "Phrazes For The Young." Both The Strokes, and Julian are rumored to have Tours in late 2009-2010. With The Strokes fourth album sometime in the middle of next year!

JULIAN CASABLANCAS - PHRAZES FOR THE YOUNG (ALBUM PREVIEW)

Preview of the debut solo recording from Julian Casablancas, scheduled for release this fall on Cult Records/RCA. The album, entitled Phrazes for the Young, features all new material written by Casablancas. Track titles include: River of Brake Lights, Glass and Ludlow St. Casablancas, a founding member of The Strokes, plans to announce a special series of U.S. dates shortly to be followed by a solo tour later in the year.

My Drive Thru- Santigold*, Julian Casablancas, N.E.R.D (Video)

This video is from last July and I'm still bumping it. Not sure if a lot of people missed this song/video/commercial but I'm definitely down with the converse movement. Blending the sounds of N.E.R.D with Santigold (formerly known as Santogold), and then putting the lead singer of The Strokes Juian Casablancas in the mix. This is one song if you don't like it or it doesn't catch you at first give it another shot.
