JULIAN CASABLANCAS - PHRAZES FOR THE YOUNG (ALBUM PREVIEW)

Preview of the debut solo recording from Julian Casablancas, scheduled for release this fall on Cult Records/RCA. The album, entitled Phrazes for the Young, features all new material written by Casablancas. Track titles include: River of Brake Lights, Glass and Ludlow St. Casablancas, a founding member of The Strokes, plans to announce a special series of U.S. dates shortly to be followed by a solo tour later in the year.

Matt & Kim Rock 5,000 at Pier 54

After Flosstradamus revived a crowd of 5,000, Matt and Kim took to the stage and amped them even more. A crowd well balanced of tennie-boppers all the way to guys with canes. Guys, girls, and all different types of nationalities. Pier 54 was rocking and the New York natives were on hometown turf , well close to it (brooklyn). A band that grew with the neighborhood of Williamsburg, where they live; has now spread its fan-base across the states. Matt and Kim lived up to the headliner status but I unfortunately was unable to get footage. Here is footage taken by unARTigNYC, if I come across more footage i'll definitely post it. Check out Jesse Jane and Daylight below, Kim crowdsurfing and much more. Got a chance to meet the group back in January and their just the realest artists/groups, out there. Flosstradamus Get Flossy

Flosstradamus played a dope set in front of a packed Pier 54. After a unsuccessful opener, Flosstradamus took the stage in front of 5,000 people as one of the main acts and took the crowd right off their feet blowing them away. Really the best live Dj set I've seen in a while. Got a chance to meet up with J2K (Josh Young) one of the two Dj's that make up the duo of Flosstradamus the other is Autobot (Curt Cameruci). Both traded off mixing live songs and gave the crowd plenty to dance for. A free concert held at Pier 54 off the west side highway. The Duo of J2K and Autobot got the crowd amped for the eventual headliner of Matt and Kim.
